Keeping the Beat using "found objects" as instruments take the audience on a journey of rhythm & excitement.

From a basic single beat through to more complicated time signatures used by various cultural groups around the world.

An Entertaining-Educational performance that culminates in an all clapping, stomping, yelling Rio Carnival style 'samba'.

Keeping the Beat emphasizes creativity, fun, co-operation, trust, learning.

The program is designed so everyone has a go, with participants gaining confidence, self-esteem, and dexterity & a taste for rhythm.

Keeping the Beat was first performed at Science Works Melbourne
as part of it's Holiday Program,to a tremendous response from
the children & their parents.

Keeping the Beat is the creation of Mr.Beat alias Collin Bogaars & his trusty partner

'Tricky' Rhythm alias Gavin Gray Collin & Gavin are founding members of
Australias most entertaining percussion troupe Batacuda
