'Drum Out !' a vibrant community percussion parade / performance, using recycled materials as instruments. 'Drum Out !' Encourages Creativity, imagination & Celebration! Participants need no experience in percussion or performing. Workshops are conducted prior to the event either in community centres,
schools or a central location. Drum Out! is normally accompanied by BATACUDA who form the backbone of the percussion, however it can also function independently depending on the number of participants. Drum Out! has been performed with participant numbers from 150 to 4000 participants. |

Drum Out! was first developed for the St.Kilda festival in 1994 & became the festivals biggest & most successful community theatre event to date, averaging around three thousand participants per year. Drum Out has gone on adapting to create percussion events for community festivals / events, such as Centenary Celebrations Griffith, The Desert Harmony Festival (Tennant Creek NT), The Art is ... Festival in Horsham, Fawkner Festival, Extinct Mega Fauna Festival Lancefield, Flying Fox Festival (Katherine NT), Croydon Festival, Coolamon Festival, Brimbank Festival, Lynbrook Shopping Centre launch, the Maryborough Technology Challenge(Qld), The Pako Festa (Geelong), The Dandenong Drum Festival, Arty Farty Kids Festival, Wodonga Carnival to the Millennium Celebrations in the City of Townsville Qld, where approximately four thousand participants drummed in the new century. Drum Out! was also at The launch of the Old Parliament House "Arts House" in Singapore. Drum Out! was a major feature of the Melbourne Moomba Parade Drum Out! is the perfect start to any community festival / event or launch of shopping centers etc. |
